"In my world, everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies!" - Dr. Seuss

In my world too, Dr. Seuss. I love this quote! As silly as it is, it's to the point about focusing on the beauty of the world and having a sense of humor about life.

No matter how dark the time you are in seems to be. No matter how hard it might seem to get up and keep going. No matter how many times life beats you down. You can always find hope in your loved ones and keep each other strong through any time of need. Positivity is contagious and will always shine brightest in your dark time of need.

Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; love more, and all the good things will be yours ☺

To my friends, family members, and those I have yet to cross paths with, I wish you the strength to live out this quote.

Never look back and regret...always believe that the bad things that have happened have happened for a reason. I believe we all have a "plan" and if people are not in our lives anymore it is for a reason...move on and enjoy and love the people who are in your lives that accept you through your good days and your bad...if they are not willing to accept your bad days then they are not worthy to be in your lives...

I have alway been told to follow the golden rule: treat others how you want to be treated. Now, I follow the platnum rule: treat others how they want to be treated.

I have a beautiful 2 1/2 yr old son and in Sept. 2010 welcomed a just as beautiful baby girl. Four months later our lives were turned upside down when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma. A type of lung cancer (not from smoking, I don't). I have been undergoing chemotherapy treatments since March, had an attempted surgery to remove my lung but it was unsuccessful. I now continue chemo treatments and have radiation everyday as well. I am a special ed. teacher so I had to stop working. I need help taking care of my kids. My husband(who is wonderful) picks up the rest of the slack and works too. Sounds like complaining. Its not. I saw the positivity braclets while away for the weekend at the beach. They hit me right in the face and I immediately bought them up to share. Anyone that has been through this journey with me knows that word has been my outlook on this entire situation. Having cancer is positive? Yes. Everyday I thank God...for, giving me an excellent doctor who wouldn't stop until he knew why I was coughing, my excellent team of oncologists, having my beautiful children when I did (I can't have anymore), my huge family support system, my friends, celebrating my 36th b-day last week, as the list goes on. I swear not once did I ask "why me?" I stay positive and keep going forward. Both sides of my family sport the braclets for me now. Attitude (and Jesus) is what will make me a survivor!

I'm not the most positive person on the face of the planet, or at least I wasn't until I realized the impact that the smallest bit of positivity can have on not only your life but the lives of those around you. I told one person they could win a race. That little bit of positivity from someone other than the voice inside of their head somehow inspired them to beat not only their own personal best but also a champion in the sport who he had never even dreamed of beating!
After just that little episode I decided to start being positive towards not only others but myself which has lead to me, no, not winning races, but to being an all around happier person and not worrying so much about a lot of different things.
No, it's no huge miracle story, but the thought that one phrase can have such a huge impact just made me wonder what could happen if people everywhere were positive and shared the message.
Any positive thought you have from now on i dare you to just blurt it out! Scream it, speak it, whisper, sign it, wave it, smile it, sing it, no matter how you get it out do, you never know who's life you could change.

I'm recovering from my eating disorder, building my own life from scratch, and breathing in and out everyday..I can't believe this is happening and I'm a apart of this amazing process, this THING that's happening! It's difficult to have only words to express. I'm so incredibly lucky to have caring nurturing people helping me get up off my knees, I truly could not have started this alone! I cry tears of not only sadness of leaving the old me behind, but tears of joy and hope. I have goals and needs to meet! ready, set, here I come :D

I am recently divorced as is my boyfriend, between us we have 5 girls raging in age from 8 to 15 years of age. As you can imagine, we have all been through so much over the last few years... the divorces themselves, his girls adjusting to me, my girls adjusting to him...anger, sadness, stress, anxiety have been so prominent in our lives for too long! I am a Cardiac ICU nurse so the message of postive thinking is something that I try to encourage every day at work to my patients. Today, while in our gift shop at work I saw these "positivity" bracelets. I bought 6 sets, one for each girl and one for myself. Was hoping that bringing some "positivity" home might be good for all of us!!! Lets hope it works : )!!!
