In 1942, my parents were married. Sixty-six years later Mom passed away following a brief illness. Dad was heart broken. Always a loving family, we rallied around Dad. Fifty-one weeks later Dad suffered a major stroke. His independence was ripped from him. Two and a half weeks ago, my father passed away. Like many from the Greatest Generation, both Mom and Dad were wonderful, kind, caring, hard-working, human beings. Although, the two are reunited in heaven and happy to be in the presence of God, my family and I are dealing with the emptiness left by their deaths.
Inside a card with a lovely hand written message, a very thoughtful friend of my adult daughter shared pos+ivi+y bracelets with us. The bracelets and her compassionate words are a great reminder of both Mom and Dad and the legacy they left behind .
Her act of kindness reaffirms that their are angels amongst us and I am as grateful as I am blessed.
